Description
A shame they don't rely on safety glass anymore! But then this scene would be much less dramatic. And much less fun to draw!
What happend here? This is my OC Worian dressed up for a big event. But after he got into a fight, where his opponent pushed him over the railing of a balcony above the dining room where the fancy dinner takes place, the people down there won't finish their meals as planned for sure! (and neither himself)
This is another picture for the 100 Themes Challenge, this Theme is "Broken Pieces", because - of course! - there are a lot of broken pieces in this one! It is the 39th picture I had drawn for the 100 Themes Challenge.
I struggled with the pose a long time, because I wanted to do something with action and movement in it, and something with an unusual angle, but now it is finished!
Resources I used in this are:
Brush Pack Lazy Brush Set from
Speck Brushes Speck Brushes from
The glass was made with help from her very helpful Broken Glass Tutorial

The texture for the broken glass is from the site cgtextures.com, which is a site where you can download textures. That site can be very handy. They don't require to give credit but it is appreciated.
Drawn with Wacom Intuos.
My dear sister used poor falling Worian to make fun of her own picture. Here you can see him crashing on the table in the WIP to her artwork 63. Do Not Disturb - AneLAAN: (But be sure to check out the finished piece as well, it is amazing!)

Poor Worian! His bones broken into pieces! Oh, the titel of this picture is because of the glass not because of his broken bones!
This went out great! I love the lighting in his face, the contorted pose and his preparedness for the landing. In his facial expression and in the body pose it is readable that he know how he has to fall to get not so much injury.
Ooooh, but the cut on his throat is dangerous. Very deep. ( ) I like that his scars don't vanish like in most accidents and battles in stories. It is realistic and I love it to put realistic stuff into awesome Science Fiction.
I am really curious if you do a shortstory about this scenery!
It was a lot of fun putting your OC Worian into my meeting picture in several ways And it is much fun chat with you while working on pictures and stories. It is always very inspiring.
